Jovial Gluten Free Stelline Pasta

Hey there, fellow foodies! Today, I am thrilled to share my delightful experience enjoying the delicious gluten free Stelline Pasta that Jovial Foods was kind enough to send me to try out for you all. Let’s dive in and let me give you my honest and true thoughts and opinions on Jovial’s Stelline Pasta.

From the moment I unwrapped the box of pasta, I couldn’t help but notice how tiny and cute the star-shaped pasta was peeking out from the bottom of the bowl.

I love the packaging as it seems to tell the story of what is inside and where it came from. The “gluten free” stands out and is very clear. I find this so helpful when shopping as it makes it easier to spot. We all know the search it takes in some stores to find the hidden gluten free items. The soup pictured on the front looks so comforting and I couldn’t wait to give it a try. So, that’s what I did…

There is a Simple Stelline Soup recipe on the back of the box or instructions to cook separately. I chose to cook up 1 cup of Stelline pasta in vegetable broth. I boiled it for 10 minutes. The star-shapes doubled in size and cooked evenly. They did not clump together or turn mushy like so many other gluten free pastas seem to do.

Now we get to taste for flavor, texture, and more. I find this pasta to be pretty versatile and quite enjoyable. I tried a small fork full without any seasoning or broth. I found it to be cooked well, not mushy, and overall tasty.

Next, I tried the stelline with the broth, like a soup and really enjoyed the flavor and texture. I am saving some for leftovers for lunch tomorrow and looking forward to not having to cook and eating a yummy and comforting meal.

Lastly, I mixed the stelline with some sauteed asparagus, red onion, fresh garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, and kalamata olives. This was my favorite overall with all the flavors that just married together so well and finished it off with a little fresh lemon squeezed over the top. Delicious!

Overall, the stelline had a great consistency and was very pleasing to eat each way I tried it. To get more opinions, I asked other family members to try it out. They all really enjoyed it as well. Even my husband (who is not gluten free) was quite happy with the consistency and flavor.

Three out of four of us are gluten free and are pretty excited to try this pasta in other dishes. You can also find a plethora of recipes here: https://jovialfoods.com/recipes/ to inspire your cooking journey with Jovial.

I try to purchase pasta and other pre-packaged foods that contain the least ingredients as possible when I can. In addition to having trouble with gluten products, I also have allergies to nuts and dairy.  Finding products that have very few ingredients and align with the foods that I can tolerate can be quite difficult.

I love that there are only 2 ingredients (organic brown rice flour & water), that is a huge win for me and I know many of you will appreciate this as well.

A bit about Jovial and where they came from… Jovial was born out of Carla and Rodolfo’s journey to improve their daughter’s health, which led to the discovery of her sensitivity to modern wheat and gluten. This prompted their commitment to creating wholesome food alternatives that are not only healthy but delicious as well.

Jovial products are available at natural, conventional, and mass stores nationwide, as well as https://jovialfoods.com/gluten-free for gluten-free options. You will find gluten free lasagna, shells, fettuccine, penne, olive oil, and so much more! Their traditional Italian products, crafted using old-world techniques, offer unique flavors while addressing modern dietary sensitivities.

I’d like to give Jovial a huge thank you for reaching out and sending me 2 boxes of this pasta.
